Podocarpus maki Discovery Bay

Call us at (925) 516-1052 to check availability

Podocarpus maki is a more petite form of the more commonly known Podocarpus macrophylla. The "maki" has folige that is smaller, and easily clips into a dense shrub or foundation plant. This Podocarpus variety is easy care, clean and reliable. It is one of those plants that thrives equally well in partial shade as full sun. Use in narrow beds against a fence, against pillars, near swimming pools, or any place where you need something that gets the job done without a lot of input from you. Slow growing to 8 to 10 feet tall, about 3 feet wide or clip to any size or shape. Hardy to USDA zone 7 and all higher zones. All of our plants are shipped in soil to ensure a healthier start when planted in container or garden.
