Silvery blue, mostly juvenile needle-like foliage forms a dense, narrow spire. A beautiful accent for low shrub borders or specimen in formal gardens. This new Chamaecyparis lawsoniana variety is grown on a root stock that is resistant to Phytophthora lateralis - a disease that has caused the demise of many lawsoniana's over the last two decades. This rootstock was developed by Oregon State University and is marketed under The Guardian" Series. We are utilizing this new rootstock on several varieties: 'Blue Surprise', 'Golden King', 'Silberstar', and 'Yvonne'.
